June 19th - Italy – rally presentation at Limone Piemonte

March 29 - Mauritania - Meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Mauritania
During a meeting in Paris, the Minister of Tourism, happy of the loyalty of the rally to Africa and especially to Mauritania, assured the Heroes Legend organization of his full support and he gave already instruction for all the facilities and means available in order to make of this 5th edition a nice and successful event. ►The insurances

Accidents are not just for the others so it’s better to be well insure

The Oragnisation subscribes to several insurance covers and these are included in the entry fees :

  1. Repatriation insurance in case of accident or serious illness + medical costs,
  2. Individual accident insurance
  3. Civil liability for the organisation of the rally
  4. Civil liability (third part) for vehicles in Mauritania and Senegal ,

 

In case of accident or serious illness during the event, the medical team (helicopter or ambulances 4x4) after diagnostic will organise the transport back to your country by regular or special flight depending of the seriousness of the case.


A civil liability insurance guaranties all damages to a third person caused by any participant, responsible or not responsible.
A special and compulsory liability insurance (third part) is subscribed to cross Mauritania and Senegal.
The Organisation takes out, on the participants behalf, extra insurance to cover the cost of medical evacuation from the rally site to your home.

 

►A experienced and professional organisation to look after you every day.

►The itinerary is chosen together with local authorities to guarantee the safety of participants in each country crossed by the rally.

► Helicopter« Medical and Race director », which follows the same itinerary.

  • 10 doctors on the track and at the bivouac,
  • 4 medical cars,
  • satellite liaison between all the vehicles of the organisation to coordinate all the logistic and rescue
  • Race Control at the bivouac to follow each participant thanks to the Etrack satellite system 24h/24h
  • 2 “sweep trucks” and 4 vehicles to close the track every day and bring back to the bivouac riders with problems.
  • A dedicated team to give the start and finish stamps for each zone
  • 1 “opening car” 3 days before the rally checking the road book and the possible modifications of terrain. Changes will be posted at the bivouac daily.

 

   


E-TRACK and your safety  : For safety, each motorcycle and car will be equipped with a tracking system, making possible satellite follow-up of all vehicles by the Organisation.

E-track makes a reliable follow-up possible of vehicles in all areas of the world not covered by GSM/GPRS telephone networks and thus ensures the safety of property and persons in areas difficult of access.

E-track makes it possible to transmit qualified information to the race command post in real time. In case of a problem, you can be located and rescued by the Organisation.

The areas of application are as follows:
- Triggering or requesting emergency rescue in the event of a serious incident (you or another competitor)
- Taking account of a situation of distress compromising your progression or your maintenance in a good state of health.

With two possible methods:
- Sending of an alarm to the race command post indicating your GPS position;
- Automatic: if a brutal shock or a prolonged stop of the vehicle is detected, the system transmits a message from the alarm to the race command post with your GPS position.
