5th edition of the Heroes Legend rally October 16 – 30, 2010
Schedule of the event : January 28th, 2010, Opening of entries (reduced entry fees till April 30th)April/June: Preparation of the itinerary April 30, 2010: Last day for the reduced entry fees October 14th, 2010 : Pre-Start from Paris, Eiffel Tower 6 stages in Morocco October 30th, 2010: Last stage and finish at the Pink Lake in Dakar - Lunch and prize giving
The itinerary : You will have the chance to drive some famous stages of the Dakar. 6500km in total crossing 5 countries, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal In Africa, 500km a day, between 150 and 450km off road. 360° of desert ! ►Just few road liaisons. Each stage will be different in terms of distance, landscape and difficulty. Particular care will be given to the choice of the special stages so as to be able to satisfy the best riders as well as true novices. ►Each stage will be composed with 2,3 or 4 different off road zones combining regularity, speed, piloting and navigation for the motorcycles and cars . Navigation using GPS and Road book.
2 levels of difficulty: ►For good and experienced pilots, technical stages, piloting, fast, dunes, sand…….They will drive all the zones of each stage. In average 500km a day. ►For non experienced riders or « retired/old », who don’t want the pressure of the race and its obligations in term of regulation, they can choose the zones they want to drive according the information given during the daily briefing. The missing zones will be penalized in points but you remain in the race and in the classification. An itinerary for the « race » with the categories “Open” or “Classic” and an itinerary for discovering Africa on asphalt roads with the category « Bivouac-Bivouac » |
