October 14th, 2010 : Pre-Start from Paris, Eiffel Tower
October 14/15, 2010: Technical checks in the south of France
Octobre 16, 2010: Official start, warm up and boarding to Morocco

6 stages in Morocco
4 stages in Mauritania
2 stages in Sénégal

October 30th, 2010: Last stage and finish at the Pink Lake in Dakar - Lunch and prize giving
October 31st, 2010 : Loading of the vehicles at the harbour of Dakar

The itinerary :

You will have the chance to drive some famous stages of the Dakar.
A complete new itinerary for the 5th edition, more dunes, more loop stages around bivouacs.

6500km in total crossing 5 countries, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal
Finish at the Lac Rose in Dakar where the story of the Dakar rally is written for 30 years.

In Africa, 500km a day, between 150 and 450km off road. 360° of desert !

►Just few road liaisons. Each stage will be different in terms of distance, landscape and difficulty. Particular care will be given to the choice of the special stages so as to be able to satisfy the best riders as well as true novices.
All types of terrain is available in Africa, rolling and fast tracks, mountains, twisty and technical parts, oasis crossing, sandy tracks, along the ocean and ocean of dunes. Every day something new to discover at your pace.

►Each stage will be composed with 2,3 or 4 different off road zones combining regularity, speed, piloting and navigation for the motorcycles and cars .
For the teams, a relay of rider will be also possible between two stages. Places will be announced during the daily briefings.

2 levels of difficulty:

►For good and experienced pilots, technical stages, piloting, fast, dunes, sand…….They will drive all the zones of each stage. In average 500km a day.
A selective route which has no reason to be jealous of the “Big Dakar” ! You will have the chance to drive some famous stages of the Dakar rally.

►For non experienced riders  or « retired/old », who don’t want the pressure of the race and its obligations in term of regulation, they can choose the zones they want to drive according the information given during the daily briefing. The missing zones will be penalized in points but you remain in the race and in the classification.
