Well what a fantastic trip, thanks again to you and all of the organization for such a well run, safe and friendly rally. You made everyone feel really welcome and it soon became like travelling as part of an extended family group.

I had some fantastic highs, riding through the dunes without falling off (sometimes), racing flat out across wide open plains,, making the right decisions with my navigation , and getting in before dark to a nice cup of tea from Patsy!

Not all highs though, my lowest point was in Mauritania, broken down in the desert in 48 degrees with very few tools, I had to ride for hours without seeing anyone else at all, and endless sand and rocks.

It is a event that any competent off road rider can complete, you just need the will and desire to fulfill the ultimate dream of riding from Paris to Dakar and once completed an experience you will never forget.

I’m sure I will have another go at some stage !

I was obsessed about doing this rally after seeing a poster on a wall advertising it in 2008 in a BMW shop near where I live. Lows. Highs. Just you and your bike. Riding and navigating alone over big distances in extreme temperatures. The unforgettable experience of sleeping out in the dunes of Mauritania. Incredible adrenaline rushes and what felt like never enough sleep. Scarey moments (some that I will never, ever forget) and the fantastic feeling of reaching Lac Rose at the end. Absolute adventure. Thank God events like this exist allowing you to do something out of the ordinary. Get signed up and do it. We pass this way once!

Je souhaitais remercier toute l’équipe d’organisation pour le grand moment de bonheur quelle nous a fait vivre sur cette édition 2010. J'ai pu apprécier une organisation très
pro, à la fois discrète et toujours dispo malgré les difficultés quotidiennes inhérentes à ce genre d'épreuve. Bravo pour ce projet que vous menez si bien.

J'ai découvert la Mauritanie, ses paysages fabuleux, ses populations d'une incroyable gentillesse. Je suis rentré des images d'Afrique plein la tête.

La Légende m'a fait toucher du doigt le monde du rallye-raid, je suis foutu !! Ce sport mécanique pas comme les autres est grisant et apporte tant. Bref, que du bonheur !
